Check network quality for calls

Know the numbers that make calls sound good.

Poor latency, jitter or packet loss makes calls choppy.

Steps

  1. Aim for one-way latency under 150 ms.
  2. Aim for jitter under 30 ms.
  3. Aim for packet loss under 1%.
  4. Use your phone system's call quality reports, or a ping test to your provider, to measure these.
