Make sure emergency calls work

Check emergency calls work and show the right address.

Emergency calling matters more than any other feature.

Steps

  1. Confirm with your provider that emergency calls (such as 000, 911, 112 or 999) are supported on every number.
  2. Give your provider the correct street address for each site.
  3. Make sure outbound routes let your local emergency number (for example 000, 911, 112 or 999) through without a prefix.
  4. Tell staff that mobile apps and remote phones may not pass on their location, and to tell the operator where they are.
