Plan for an internet outage
Keep taking calls when your internet goes down.
Hosted phones stop working when the internet does, unless you plan ahead.
Steps
- Set a failover destination with your provider, such as a mobile number, for when phones are offline.
- Install the mobile app for key staff so they can take calls on mobile data.
- Consider a 4G/5G backup internet connection for your router.
- Write down how to switch over, and test it once.
