Set up a BLF key on a Cisco phone

Show whether a colleague is busy.

On MPP phones a line key can monitor another extension.

Steps

  1. Log in to the phone's web page with Admin Login → Advanced.
  2. Go to Voice → Phone and choose a spare line key.
  3. Set its extension to Disabled.
  4. In Extended Function, enter fnc=blf+sd;sub=201@sip.yourprovider.com, using the colleague's extension and your server.
  5. Click Submit All Changes.
